This tool will search the database for images that already have alt text. You can search by alt text description and use the other search options to help you narrow down your search. If you do not know any part of the description you can still use other search fields to narrow down your results to images that are similar to what you are looking for.
Search options:
Alt text contains: Serach by keyword that appears within the alt text entry
Book Title - Title of the Textbook
Image Type - What format is the image, e.g. Graph, Photograph, Map..
Image Category - How does the image relate to the text, e.g. Decorative or Supplemental
Filter by:
"AND" will try to find a match for all search fields entered. Any image that does not match all search fields will not be displayed
"OR" will look for any image matching at least one of the fields you provided.
EX: You search for Image Type: Bar Graph and Category: Supplemental
If "AND" is selected the search will only return images that are tagged as both Bar Graph and Supplemental.
If "OR" is selected it will give you every image marked as a Bar Graph and every image marked as Supplemental
Not every image has an Image Type and Category. If you cannot find what you are looking for you may want to change these to "no filter"
Click "Filter Alt Text" to return search results
Click "Clear Selections" to clear all search fields and start a new search
Click "Refresh Data" will reload the page and clear all search fields

In between "/d/" and "/edit" the ID is shown. You must copy and paste this into the submission field
In this example, the ID is: 107oR3YoC8uGVOm4eJjfSNLNnf8GJs2bDrblqlOXyvvs
Paste that into the field for "Doc ID:" and click "Load Doc"
It may give you an error message saying it is the wrong ID or missing data such as the book title/ISBN which you must fix before submitting
If the submission works it will tell you at the bottom of the screen how many images got submitted. To search for these images you must "Refresh Data" after submitting a document

FAQ:
Q. My computer is telling me this website is unsafe when I press "Authorize".
A. This is expected. Because this webpage connects with Google and we are not registered as an official Google Application, you will have to go through the steps to ignore it. See the Submission Instructions for more details.
Q. Why do my searches keep coming up with no results?
A.
You are being too specific with your search. Try taking away some fields to search for like changing Category to "No filter"
The field "Alt text contains" will search for the entire phrase that is entered. Try being less specific with this field to get more results. Ex: If you are searching for images with a red ball, searching for "red ball" will yield more results than "a ball that is red"
You could also try changing the "Filter by" from "AND" to "OR" but this will give a lot more results
If no results are still showing up, try clicking "Refresh Data" or refresh the webpage
Q. Why are there so many search results showing up?
A.
If "Filter by" is "OR" try changing "Filter by" to "AND".
Try to be more specific with your search terms such as setting an "Image Type" or providing more information in "Alt text contains"
Q. Why am I having trouble submitting a Google Document or folder?
A.
The instructions for Submission require a couple steps that are very different from other submission workflows. Refer to the Submission Instructions and make sure your account is Authorized to connect with Google Drive, and you are correctly selecting the document ID or Folder ID from the URL
You may have a document that is not formatted correctly. Every document needs a Book Title or Book ISBN, every image needs an Asset ID, and the document must remain in the general format given from the document template. The tool should give you an error message that helps guide you to what the problem may be. For folders, the tool should tell you which document(s) are not working and why
